Chemical Upkeep
Water chemistry doesn't have to be hard. With just three chemicals and 15 minutes a week, your tub can be sparkling and clear
Total Alkalinity Booster (Buffer)
Weekly, add a capful of Alkalinity Booster and your total alkalinity and pH levels will be kept in check, i.e. water that is not acidic. Water that becomes too acidic leads to red-eye, itchy skin.
Lithium Based Chlorine (Shock)
Even with bromine in the water, algae and other bacteria may grow; add a capful of Lithium shock a week to prevent this. If you find you are using the tub quite often, or having a party, adding an extra capful a week will ensure clean, healthy water.
Bromine & Bromine Dispenser
Fill up the bromine dispenser with bromine tablets and let it float in the tub when you're not in it. As the water passes through the dispenser the tablets begin to dissolve, releasing bromine into the water and thus providing continuous SOFTUB sanitation.
Test Kit
Counting drops is as difficult as water testing gets. Test your water once a week to ensure that all is well. The chemicals and test kit featured here come free with your SOFTUB purchase.
General Tub Maintenance
Chemical upkeep and cleaning are the only things required to maintain a SOFTUB in good working order. A SOFTUB's water should be changed every 3-4 months. All chemical and maintenance products you may need can be found at POOLMASTER year-round.
