Meet the Staff
Talon has been the face of Poolmaster for the last 8 years; he has taken the reins from Ted Duncan who has mentored him and passed on his 50+ years of knowledge in the Pool & Spa industry. He manages the day to day sales, staff and service needs for our thousands of service and in-store customers. He continues to grow the business year after year by emphasizing hands on customer service, proper staff training and certifications. He is fully bilingual in French and English. Approaching the end of his second decade with Poolmaster, Mark brings unsurpassed familiarity on both a personal and client site level to our customers. He is well versed in all service aspects of the pool and spa industry and has completed many industry manufacturers programs from Hayward, Zodiac, Raypak and Softub among others. Marks greater accreditations include Lowry Pool and Spa Chemistry levels 1 & 2 and CPO certifications.
Victoria has an extensive background in customer service and building client relationships. She is going into her second year with Poolmaster. Her diploma in Journalism gives her a unique touch on our social media and her experience in administration helps organize the office in an effective manner. She has a keen eye to detail and is meticulous when it comes to our customer’s accounts. Victoria’s accreditations include Pool Operation 101, Water Chemistry 101, Lawrenson’s Pool & Spa Water Chemistry, Best Management Practices for Water Discharge, W.H.I.M.S and is an authorized Pool Discharge Service Provider.
Christian has an electrical background and joined Poolmaster as a service technician 6 years ago. His lifeguard certification gives him a unique aptitude for pool safety which is important to every pool owner. His accreditation’s include W.H.I.M.S., Safe Water Discharge and C.P.O. certification. Christian has been eagerly applying himself to gain more experience with liner installs. He was also promoted to service manager in 2016 and has gone above and beyond being a leader for our service team. Christian is our main go-to guy for spas, liners, troubleshooting and automation service calls.
Shaun Pollock was introduced to the pool and spa industry in 2015. Since then, he has become a valuable asset to the company. Formally working as a chef, he has brought the heat from the kitchen into the backyard. His drive to learn a new trade has resulted in late work hours, but also excellent pool maintenance, impressive equipment installs, and superior customer service. Shaun primarily works on weekly maintenance, and helps with our openings and closings.
Carlina joined the Poolmaster team in 2016 as our store manager. Before Poolmaster, Carlina was working in customer service where she visioned managing a store with sheer enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Her energy is contagious and she has a way of making customers laugh and feel relaxed. She’s a quick learner and can help teach you the ways of being a Poolmaster. When Carlina isn’t at work she loves spending time with her two children, partaking in school field trips and other fun adventures.
